Financial Contribution from Ordinary Members We have been asked numerous times how ordinary members can contribute to the upkeep of the site. As most of you know we insist on keeping to our mission statement that KZN Fishing will remain Free for as long as possible. We also think that asking for funding all the time becomes boring and makes the site seem as if it is a debt collection agency. However if members want to contribute any amount from as little as R10.00 please feel free to make deposits direct into the account with your name as a reference and add the suffix OMD. The Banking Details are at the bottom of the page. Fishing related items that can be raffled or given away as prizes. I am sure some of you have unwanted gifts or equipment surplus to your requirements. It can be as small as some Shad traces you made, some sinkers or Reels of Line that you no longer like. You might have a reel you got as a present that you have no use for. Therefore contribution to the site need not be financial. Dependent on what you have KZN fishing can translate these to either prizes at our various events or promotions on the site. Every small promotion on the site generates new interest. New interest always generates additional members. So your little contribution can exponentially increase membership. Increasing membership will bring additional ideas and contribution to the site. If the article warrants a raffle then that is an avenue we can pursue to fund the organisation. Companies and Decision Makers Many of our members either own companies or are the financial decision makers in the organisation. If your company is doing financially well why not make a contribution to a site that is serving the interest of your passion and gives back regularly to the fishing fraternity. As we are not a registered Section 21 company you cannot claim it as a tax deducted contribution. However you still can claim it as an Expense before profit declaration. Would you rather not promote KZN Fishing? Other Contributions Some of you might have special talents we can use. Graphic artists, editors, trace makers, software development specialists, and expert fishing knowledge. You may have abilities that include management skills or maybe your time that you want to contribute. There are simple tasks on the site that you can help with. Prepare Spreadsheets or clean up threads. Just ask and we are sure there is something you can help with. One of our missions is to create this huge fishing family. We want to get to a stage where, when we have a social on the coast we have a minimum of 200 anglers on the surf. When we have a social braai we must buy 100 bags of charcoal. We want to fill the gallery with everyone in this family with a catch of his/her lifetime. We want to take this family to heights that others will be envious of. Not just fishing forums but every social forum in the country. This is our dream. So even if you cannot make a financial or kind contribution, offer your service. You might think that your small offer of doing a spreadsheet does not help but by becoming involved you make a difference. We have seen the spirit of the Soccer World Cup 2010. If KZN Fishing can capture just 1 percent of that feeling we will be flying. Why do we need Funding? Some of you might wonder why we need money. Are the KZN Admin team just out there to make a quick buck? We understand the question and sometimes the reluctance to offer assistance. We do have one major contributor that has helped tremendously over the last few years and continues with his generosity. We have been frugal with expenditure and after careful budgeting we finally after a few years now have a reasonable bank balance. As most of you know up till the middle of last year we did not even have a bank account. June 2010 we have both a bank account and a Balance. What do we pay for? -    Monthly Hosting fees for the Website -    All stationery Costs- Score Cards, Forms, Inks etc -    Baits  and Tackle for Presentations -    Various Prizes for events -    Fishing Destination – Travel Costs and Meals -    Subsidise Travel Costs for Transkei Competitions -    Refreshments for Meetings -    Travel Costs for any Manco Member on KZN Business where applicable -    Promotional Costs like Banners, posters ,business cards              Our Banking Details KZN Fishing Acc no: 051921588 Branch code: 04562641 Standard Bank Pinetown
